Many of you are aware, but just as many will not be, that one of our founder members and secretary Ian Middleton is moving on from Audlem CC to persue an opportunity of riding in a team of time triallists – Ian’s preferred discipline. Westmead Team 88 are based in south Manchester and Ian’s desire to compete more effectively in time trials next season has resulted in his decision to move from Audlem. In order to represent Westmead Team 88 Ian has had to resign from Audlem but will “rejoin” us as a Second Claim member – this means he can ride with us etc but has no voting rights and cannot compete in Audlem name and colours. All of you I’m sure would like to wish Ian every success for the future and I cannot finish without expressing the sincerest thanks for everything that Ian has done to help get Audlem CC off the ground and move it to the position it is in today. We look forward to seeing Ian out on our rides over the winter when individuals will no doubt extend their best wishes personally – good luck and thanks

Tim,
Thank you for your comments which I sincerely appreciate .The club has developed a strong base of riders who I am sure will continue to take the club forward . I have really enjoyed the last few years working with the committee and seeing many new members who were relatively new to cycling and to a cycling club developing into a great bunch of people . As you said in your comments I will still be around and look forward to seeing a great turnout at the christmas lunch. I wish you and all the members much success and continued enjoyment by being involved in Audlem CC.
Best Wishes Ian
Ian
