In this cold ,damp and wet weather it is essential that you have adequate Energy drinks and food with you for the duration of the ride.It would be advisable to have two bottles of an Energy drink and carry Energy bars /Energy Gels or an energy food e.g Banana. This will help alleviate the “running on Empty “feeling in the last half hour of your ride.This applies whether you ride in the “Training Group” or the “Club Ride”.To help you recover for your next ride drink a recovery drink within 30 minutes of you getting home .There are numerous products on the market one of the best is Amino Load a product of Allsports
