Get on your bike and join us for the annual Bruntwood Ellipse Cycle-Sportif, this years event is taking place on the 12th September at Booths Park, Knutsford.

Following last year resounding success, we are proud to launch ‘Bruntwood Ellipse Cycle-Sportif 2010’, for those of you that have recently joined Bruntwood the Ellipse is a charitable cycling event designed to raise money for the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital charity. The event is aimed at all levels of cyclists with two routes being run on the day; the first being a challenging 55 mile route through the beautiful peak district for the experienced cyclist and the other a more approachable 22 mile route through Cheshire’s leafy lanes aimed at recreational cyclists, those who are new to cycling, and importantly for those with families and kids. The cost of Entry is: 55 mile route – £18.50, 22 mile route – £12.50, Concessions (11-16) – £6.00.

The inaugural Bruntwood Ellipse couldn’t have gone better, the sun was shining, we had Olympic Gold Medallist Paul Manning MBE start the event, closely followed by 120 people tackle the 55 mile route and 67 cycling the more leisurely 22 mile route.  Our sponsors, Claude Butler and Ken Fosters were so impressed they immediately signed up for this year’s event.  Everyone who took part thoroughly enjoyed the day, everyone we spoke to said they would return to take part in this year’s event.
