TLI National Road Race report

18 09 2013

The wind blew but the rain stayed away.  The racers arrived  to face the unknown in TLI the shape of the “new” circuit.  Roadworks on our normal loop meant a new venue had to be found that fulfilled all the required criteria and presented a sufficient challenge worthy of a National Championship event.   Success on all counts as the  A529, Shavington Park, A525 10.5 mile circuit saw some great racing and received nothing but positive feedback from riders, marshals, drivers and spectators.

Four Audlem CC members were entered into the event along with 130 others from all over the country including a large contingent from the Isle of Man.   The whole event went very smoothly and massive thanks go race organiser Mike Wilson, the riders, the marshals, lead car drivers, line judges, catering personnel and those who came out to watch.

Congratulations to the race winners who will be wearing their National Champion jerseys for the next 12 months.  Results can be seen on the TLI website here TLI Cycling Race Results
