A Week of Cycling

23 05 2014

Ever wondered what a typical week has to offer through Audlem CC ?P1040268

We are sure there’s something here to float just about everyone’s boat

Saturday – steady, shorter ride for all comers and especially suited to novice riders, youngsters and those that feel the Sunday run is not for them yet.   Depart from the Square at 8-30.  Rides last up to 2 hours.  Contact Eric Wilkinson or Phil Stockton

Sunday – Club Run – typically 50/55 mile ride with a cafe stop mid wayish.   Depart from the Square at 9-00.  Destinations are posted on our Club Runs page and there are links to Garmin details showing you ride map, route profile etc.  Rides are at a reasonable pace to suit the terrain and those who are riding. A great change to meet other members, ride in a group and develop riding skills and etiquette.  There is no commitment for you to do the whole ride if time etc doesn’t allow.

Tuesday – plenty of racing going on locally including our own 5 races in July – more details on our Racing page

Wednesday  – MTB rides at Hanchurch Hills – full info on the MTB page.    10 mile time trials either at Whitchurch/Prees (North Shropshire Wheelers) or  Crewe on the Shavington bypass

Thursday – Audlem CC chain gang – fast paced training ride incorporating technical riding skills – meet at the White Lion Hankelow for a 7-00pm depart.   Alternatively 10 mile time trial at Saighton near Chester.   Race HQ is opposite Abbeygate College in Saighton. First rider off at 7-00pm but be there early to sign on as rider numbers are large.

That only leaves Monday and Friday when you can do recovery rides or just rest!  Remember rest is a massive part of training/riding so make sure you get enough

For further details of these and other club events and activities keep an eye on the website, contact the committee members and follow us on Facebook (search with Audlem Cycling Club)

Enjoy your riding
